This is the most commonly found dish in Bali’s restaurants and warungs. It is created from a mixture of coconut, vegetables and grinded meat which is mixed with spices and rich herbs.
Suckling Pig or Babi Guling is known as the most famed dishes of Bali. It contains stuffed pig permeated with a spicy blend of coriander seeds, turmeric, black pepper, lemongrass, and garlic and then spit-roasted. You can have this platter for a quick lunch or dinner available at many warungs.
Urutan Babi is basically a sausage made with the intestine of pig and stuffed with pork meat and spice paste. It is fried until it gets brownish color and is usually served with Balinese rice and wine.
Sate is the most preferred street food of Bali. You can smell this barbeque meat on bamboo sticks from far away. It includes ingredients like chicken, goat, beef, rabbit, and others. Most of the Balinese love Sate Turtle which you can only find at ceremonies, but is also sold in other times as well.
Ayam Betutu is an impressive dish if you are preparing it for a dinner party. In this dish, the chicken is stuffed with vegetables and then the roasted chicken is wrapped in a banana leaf to keep the moisture so that the meat doesn’t dry out.
Sate Languan is a traditional dish of the Klungkung regency but you can find this dish all over Bali. It is made up of sea fish, spices, green coconut, and brown sugar blended together and wrapped on a coconut stick. It tastes juicy with a spicy flavor.
